The Maiden and The Dragon

'The Maiden and The Dragon' is a six-part audio drama set in 14th-century Wearside.

The story combines elements of historical fiction, local folklore, and fantasy in a feminist re-telling of North East legend 'The Lambton Worm' and Lewis Carroll’s 'Jabberwocky'.

The author of The Maiden and The Dragon commissioned Sunderland Creatives Agency to come up with a series of illustrations that would be used to support the production.

Six students across a number of courses, including Animation and Games Art and Illustration and Design, were each given a short clip of an episode of the drama to listen to. The students then responded with a unique illustration, results of which are shown below.

If you are ready to join the agency, the first step is to complete the onboarding pathway. This will take you step by step through the process of giving the University all the information needed to successfully add you to our talent pool.

It's important that you complete the pathway, as you won't be able to work for the agency without doing this. The pathway takes approximately 30 minutes in total to complete and you can start and pick up where you left off later. Once completed, you will receive a payment for doing this.
