Historical Figures Illustrations

Sunderland Creatives Agency was asked to be involved in a powerful project intended to shine a spotlight on historically overlooked figures who made significant contributions to society.

Illustration students were commissioned to create bold, graphic-novel style artworks celebrating:

Mary Seacole - nurse, healer, and hero of the Crimean War
Dr Harold Moody - physician and civil rights activist
Dr Inez Beverly Prosser - one of the first black women to earn a PhD in psychology

Each student produced a series of four-panel illustrations, visually telling the stories of these remarkable individuals.

Designed for web, social media, and large-scale print, the final artworks are inspiring, educational, and a striking tribute to pioneers who deserve recognition.

I would like to thank both the staff within the creatives agency and the students for their time, dedication and commitment to the project - I will certainly work with them again!
